Here are my US and Japanese aircraft, custom based, primed and ready for paint!
Played my first game of Star Wars Armada with my son Alex! This was the learning scenario with the Empire having a Victory II Star Destroyer with 6 Squadrons of TIE Fighters vs the Rebellion fielding a CR90 Blockade Runner, a Nebulon-B Frigate and 4 Squadrons of X-Wing fighters. I chose to split my 2 ships in an attempt to get my CR90 in behind the Star Destroyer while my Nebulon B drew it forward. While I did kill off his fighters, my 2 ships were individually too weak divided so he picked them off, leaving me with 3 damaged squadrons of X-Wings vs his virtually intact Star Destroyer. Victory to the Empire and Alexander the Great!
Hot Wheels just came out with a cheap Ghost Freighter (From Star Wars Rebels) that’s a great scale for use with X-Wing and 5150 FC! Here is a shot next to an X-Wing freighter for scale. I plan to hit it with ink to get the lines detailed then some paint to detail and age properly. I’ll just use the YT-1300 for stats. Update: just added images after ink mass and mounting on base!
For Christmas Eve we started up a Family Dungeon Crawl using Ganesha Games’ fabulous Song of Blades and Heroes and my custom made Hirst Arts modular dungeon with accouterments from my old Hero quest set! Here you can see the intrepid band in the Torture Room fighting some Ratmen led by by a fearsome Gnoll Chieftan!
